Ingredients

Each vegetarian capsule contains:
Alpha-lipoic acid : 600 mg
Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) : 25 mg
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) : 2.5 mg

Vegetarian capsule (carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], purified water), microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, silica, stearic acid.

Description

Natural Factors Alpha-Lipoic Acid with B1 & B2 combines a clinically relevant dose of alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) with vitamins B1 and B2 for enhanced antioxidant and blood glucose support.

ALA is known as “the universal antioxidant” because it protects both the fat and water-based areas of the body from oxidative damage. This includes protecting DNA in the mitochondria – the energy-producing powerhouse of cells within muscles, nerves, and tissues throughout the body. ALA also enhances antioxidant status by recycling vitamins C and E, and by increasing levels of glutathione, an antioxidant that can become depleted in people with high oxidative stress due to inflammation or blood sugar and cardiovascular disorders. In addition, ALA promotes healthy glucose metabolism and is a well-recognized therapy for people with blood sugar disorders who are concerned about nerve function and combating fatigue.

Vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B2 (riboflavin) are essential nutrients for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into energy. By combining them with ALA, they help reduce the risk of vitamin B deficiencies associated with standalone ALA formulas. This formula provides 600 mg of ALA, 25 mg of vitamin B1, and 2.5 mg of vitamin B2 per vegetarian capsule. This one-per-day supplement is non-GMO and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
